John R. Chayrigues (partner) concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, employment law litigation, and general liability claims. Mr. Chayrigues has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals in commercial litigation matters, including actions involving breach of contract, shareholder relationships, business torts, insurance coverage disputes, and unfair business practices.

Mr. Chayrigues also represents employers and employees in a variety of labor and employment matters, such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, unfair labor practice charges, and wage and commission disputes.

In addition, Mr. Chayrigues represents individuals in connection with personal injury claims, consumer protection issues, and products liability and breach of warranty actions.

Among the reported cases in which Mr. Chayrigues has been involved are: Cambridge-Lee Industries, Inc. v. Acme Refining Company, 2005 WL 3047406; Clarendon National Insurance Company v. Amica Mutual Insurance Company & et al.441 Mass. 248 805 N.E.2d 8 (2004); Saro v. Carney, 60 Mass.App.Ct 1112, 802 N.E.2d 129, 2004 WL 98537 (2004);Tech Plus v. Ansel, 59 Mass.App.Ct. 12, 793 N.E.2d 1256 (2003); and Tech Plus v. Ansel, 1999 WL 482329 (Mass. Super.)

Mr. Chayrigues is a member of the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He is also a member of the Litigation Section of the Boston Bar Association. In 2007, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Boston Magazine, in its” Super Lawyers” edition as a “Rising Star” in the area of Business Litigation. This honor recognizes the top young lawyers in Massachusetts in their respective practice areas. Mr. Chayrigues received a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. He lives in Newton with his Wife and son.
