Our practice focuses primarily on business litigation. We represent clients prosecuting and defending lawsuits involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, unfair business practices, misappropriation of trade secrets, insurance coverage disputes, and labor and employment claims. We have experience with all facets of litigation, from obtaining preliminary injunctive relief or acquiring pre-judgment security, to trying a case before a jury and handling post-trial matters on appeal. Our approach is to work closely with our clients to assess the merits of a case, develop a clear strategy, and litigate the case in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Although we specialize in business litigation, our extensive experience ensures that we are able to handle all types of litigation. In addition to our business litigation practice we also represent clients in general litigation matters including cases involving personal injury, property damage, products liability, real estate disputes, and consumer protection claims.

In our litigation practice we routinely partner with larger regional and national law firms as co-counsel, typically representing individual officers, directors, shareholders, and employees in litigation. We often work collaboratively with out of state firms in litigation matters filed in the Massachusetts courts, where we offer our expertise in all areas of Massachusetts practice.

We also understand that litigation is costly and is something our clients seek to avoid. Our experience has taught us that legal disputes can often be averted by ensuring that business transactions are carefully structured and documented in a manner that addresses potential issues that may arise in the future. Accordingly, we counsel our clients in various types of transactions, including the formation of business entities, shareholder and employment agreements, and sale and acquisition transactions.
